S. Jean Scheidemantel

Jean works as an Audit Partner providing audit, consulting, and tax services. Her areas of special emphasis are employee benefit plans, banking, real estate, and agriculture, and she works mainly with small to medium businesses in Arkansas. She joined Erwin & Company in January 1991 and has been practicing in public accounting since 1979. Her earlier experience includes six years with Russell Brown & Company and its successor, Arthur Young & Company, five years as vice president and director of internal audit for a regional savings and loan, and one year as director of internal audit for a publicly-traded company engaged in the development and management of resort properties.

She earned a bachelor of business administration in accounting at the University of Mississippi in 1979. She is a member in good standing of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is also active in a number of community organizations, serving as a board member for the Arkansas Rice Depot, Food for Kids and Food for Seniors Programs, and Disaster Relief Center.
